Melbourne Domain Tunnel truck and car crash
This was a story on A Current Affair which was about dangerous driving. By coincidence the car that was fitted with cameras to demonstrate this was directly in front of an accident inside the Domain tunnel, so it was captured on video. Watch the marone mercedes move into the centre lane, out of view of the truck’s mirrors as he indicates to change into the same lane. Once the truckie moves left a collision is inevitable. @Blazed241 Yes there is someone in the car. In Australia there´s left-handed traffic. Look on the other seat and you will see that there is someone driving in the red car.
Both should watch the traffic better.

@MrMayhem6000 nonsense. The car was half way into the lane before the truck started his ( careless ) move. He simply made the inexcusable error of not managing his truck in heavy traffic. ACA need a kicking, but his priority is to drive his truck safely. He didn’t do that. That’s why he was charged.

@kenyoung1981 No problems at all Ken, Tuff job you got yourself there. Alot of bad press at times with the odd bad apple, atleast here in Australia.Atleast he wasn’t driving a B-Triple 175.5 ft, load up to 361,558 lb gross that they use In Melbourne for the FORD factory.Cheers

Ahhhh… thx for pointing that out ziggy. Funny British cars (and trucks) with their right-side drivers XD just kidding man. Ya from that side it can be a pain to see that side, plus they both merged into the lane at the same time. :/

@6124279 No, watch it again. The Benz was in the same lane, the entire time. The Benz did at no stage in this clip, overtake.
I like the fact that the makers of this video are doing a story on dangerous driving, and in fact they are causing the crash!
They are driving really slow in front of the truck which makes him move to the middle lane to overtake..!! Kind of stupid I would say:-)

Watch it again they were both changing lanes at the same time so im assuming the truck was checking his blind spot when the benz changed lane
I drive that exact model of truck in northern CA, and how he didn’t see her… what the hell? That’s far from a blindspot.
Trucker shouldnt be speeding on the slow lane.
